Apple iPhone 3.0 Version Release for Developers
Apple has revealed iPhone 3.0 OS in press conference. Actually, this is a release version of iphone 3.0 for developers that will enable them to take a start towards development of compatible applications or hardware accessories for iphone 3.0.
More than 100 new features of innovative advanced iphone 3.0 has been presented and discussed there. Some of those are following:
- 1,000 completely new APIs for developers
- Voice Memos
- Iphone search function
- New Map Kit framework
- API for audio, video streaming
- In-game voice communication API
- Apple Push Notification service for alerts
- Mobile networks optimization
- Ability to cut, copy and paste web contents & text and shake phone to cancel any function
- Advancement in MMS, snaps, contacts, audio files & GPS location information could be sent.
- Landscape mode to read & write email and SMS
- Peer to peer connection through Bluetooth
- View battery information & other hardware accessories
- Updated media player frame work to access user’s ipod library
- Store Kit framework to purchase services and it handles transactions
Apple’s Senior Vice President Scott Forstall said in the first revealing ceremony of iphone 3.0 that the final release of Apple iphone 3.0 is expected in this summer. Moreover, the iphone 3.0 upgrade fee package for different users will be as follows:
- 1G iphone user free of cost
- 2G iphone user free of cost but could not get MMS & Bluetooth function
- Users with 1.0 version could not upgrade with all new functions
- Yet, the iPod Touch users have to pay $9.95
